ABOUT US
dagmarrymasz is an independent general-news publication built on a simple idea: readers deserve the full picture, not the loudest version of it. We report on media, national affairs, civic life, trends and analysis, and we explain how each story was put together.
Who we are
We are a small team of reporters, editors and researchers who have worked in newsrooms, local government and data teams. Between us we have covered council meetings, read budget books line by line and watched how quickly a careful story can be flattened into a slogan. dagmarrymasz exists to slow that process down and give readers something they can actually use.
Our mission
Our mission is to make public information understandable. We favor plain language over jargon, primary sources over press releases, and context over speed when the two conflict. Every guide is written to help you follow a story, check a claim and form your own view rather than borrow ours.
Editorial standards
We accept no sponsored rankings and no payment for favorable coverage. Claims are traced to documents, official data or named sources wherever possible, and when we cannot verify something we say so. When we get a detail wrong, we correct it openly and note the change. Where we cite outside figures, we link to the original so you can check it yourself, such as the US Census Bureau or the federal open-data portal.
The team
Our contributors come from reporting, research and civic backgrounds, which is why our work tends to focus on how decisions are actually made. Each article carries an author byline, and our sourcing notes are available on request. If something in our work looks wrong, tell us and we will look at it in public.
